How We Link Effort With Optimal Outcome
You’ve got a goal. You’ve got an idea. You’ve got a plan. A good plan, however, what is a good plan without its resources?
As emerging artists, one of the struggles we face is to get noticed. But these days, attention comes with a price, realistically and figuratively speaking. This is where resourcing becomes key.
Starry Night Exposure, is an artist program that enables you to grow, produce and exhibit your work in the most efficient way possible. With major art fairs dominating the creative scene, Starry Night reserves a booth or two under these major fairs, such as SELECT Fair NY, SELECT Fair Miami, and World Wide Art Los Angeles.
Further, instead of charging you thousands (up to $18,000), we charge between 5 and 10 artists only $3,000 to exhibit 2-3 pieces of their work in our booth.
Apart from the shipping of your art pieces, we cater to all the to-dos for you! May it be representing your work, promoting your work (print/online), and selling it via Amazon. Yes, AMAZON, where not only the gallery viewers, but also Amazon’s 200 million buyers can purchase your work!
That being said, Starry Night did just that through their recent Exposure Art Fair in NYC! Representing our artists‘s work in the most cost-effective way at SELECT during high-traffic art fairs like Frieze.
This included preparations that went on for months, consistent communications with our artists in order to make their experience pleasant. Money, along with countless hours were spent to communicate and bring awareness to our program. We secured 2 booths for our artists, and worked hard to showcase as many artists as we could while maintaing good esthetics for the layout for their art work!
Ahh Moment: Did you know that most big art fairs and satellite fairs won’t allow individual artists to purchase booths? They are mostly only given to galleries, but Starry Night found a way around that and decided to buck the system.
For optimal attention for our artists, we designed 4 different flyers, wrote 3 different press releases (& sent them to national press), and had all the artworks shipped to Monika Proffitt’s tiny West Village (NYC) apartment. A catalogue book was designed & published that featured every single one of our artists, our website was redesigned as well! A page for each individual artist was added for publicity, each page linking the viewers to the artist’s personal webpage for more artsy information!
These were just some of the tasks that spelled out effort through the lines of our plans for you. In the end, we successfully sold 3 pieces of artwork, and spoke to hundreds of visitors (& distributed business cards & flyers)!
All our steps and outcomes were documented, & the progress, along with the success of the fair were published online! All in all, none of this would have been possible, without the help of our artists and all the generous helping hands that took part in shaping the memorable art fair!
