“Starry Night was my first residency. I was attracted to the website: it was clear, simplistic, and uncluttered–very much like what I was looking for in a residency. I was excited about being out and experiencing as much of the N.M. landscape as possible. I was happy that it was NOT a program that I would have to interact with the public and/or house an exhibition. I enjoyed the personable one-on-one email correspondences prior to our arrival. I was grateful to be in the hands of someone understanding and respectful of how some AIRs want more privacy while others want to get involved with a group. I think you guys are more than accommodating, honest, focused and have a clear vision and a good understanding of what an artist’s needs are. I can speak for [my partner] and I both when I say we loved, LOVED the town of T or C and we loved Starry Night! Don’t be surprised if you see us back there one day soon!”
